Cancellation Policy

Please note that we can only take a booking if it is made at least two days prior to check in.

Check-in anytime after 14:00. Check-out time at 11:00.

Please note that we are not a hotel and this is an experiential stay.

The Cabin Shooting Star and Moonshine I & II are suitable for a maximum of 2 Adults.

Milkyway is suitable for a maximum of 4 Adults.

Breakfast is included in the price.

The Minimal Stargazing Cottages is not responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Cottages. You have the possibility to pick up your lost/forgotten items up to 7 days after your check-out. After that timeframe we collect all items and bring it to the red cross regularly. We do not have space to store it for a longer time. In case you want to have your lost items shipped, you pay for the postal and packaging fees prior to shipping.

If you cause any damage to the property (like fire on balcony, damage of interior, broken windows or rollerblinds/curtains etc) we will put you into account of this right after your stay.

You can cancel your reservation until 30 days prior to check in free of charge (minus INR 1000 processing fee that always has to be paid when canceling or changing a booking).
If you cancel from 29 until 20 days in advance, we charge a non-refundable fee of 25% from the total booking price. If you cancel 20 until 10 days in advance we charge a non-refundable fee of 50% from the total booking price. For less than 10 days in advance the booking cost is non-refundable. Non-refundable fees can not be used as a credit for a later booking.

Changing your booking to other dates less than 30 days prior to check-in is not possible without getting charged. Same rules as for cancellation applies in this case (fee of 25-100%). Non-refundable fees can not be used as a credit for a later booking.

Refund will always be paid back exactly the way you paid it. No other transfer to other accounts or credit cards is allowed for security reasons. When you get a refund from us it will take 7-10 business days for processing the transaction.

Please note that there can be currency exchange differences when you get your refund back and you have a card that is not charging in INR. This is dependent on your card provider/bank.

The Minimal Stargazing Cottages reserves the right to cancel bookings if there are some unforeseeable conditions like dangerous storms or closed roads to the Cottages, heavy snow or technical issues etc which makes it impossible to stay. You will get your full refund in this case.

Special COVID cancellation policy: If you need to cancel your booking due to COVID issues (Cancelled flight or travel restrictions or positive test result and so on) we only charge a non-refundable 25% of the total amount for a cancellation up to 3 days (72hrs) before check-in day at 15:00. If you need to cancel less than 3 days before check-in, we only charge 50% of the total amount. These fees are non-refundable and can not be used as a credit for a later booking.

Please note if you want to reschedule a booking less than 30 days prior to check in the same rule as for a cancellation is valid (25% or 50% fee of the total amount, not possible to use as a later credit for a booking).

Once the transaction has left our payment system, we have no influence anymore over it. It is solely depending on your bank or card provider.
