1. How can I book multiple Cottages in one booking?
Select your preferred date and then the search function will show you all available Cottages for the chosen timeframe. Click on “book” and a text will appear which says that the Cottage has been added to your reservation. Proceed with the next Cottage you want to book for the same timeframe and click again on “book”. Once you’re finished with the selection, click on “confirm reservation” and you’ll be directed to the next step with entering guest information and proceed with payment.
2. What is the difference between all the Cottages?
Shooting Star is an A-shaped structure cottage with small balcony in the front and an additional Outdoor Shower.
Moonshine has 2 cabins and has no balcony or an outdoor shower, whereas, both the cabin has Glass roof above the bed, in the washroom and to add the cherry on the cake it also has full glass (from ceiling to bottom) in the front.
Milkyway is a Family Suite, it has a big size bed of 8×6 ft for 3 people and a single bed mezzanine, plus an huge open balc0ny of 18×6 ft and an additional outdoor shower.
3. Do you have a waiting list for booked out dates?
We do not have a waiting list. The best is to book at least a month in advance. In case we get cancellations, we will always announce it in our Instagram stories and also in our FB story at the same time. It is first come, first serve. Many cancellations reach us around 15 days prior to the event, as this is the timeframe where guests can cancel without paying a fee.
4. Do you have cottages for more than 2 Persons
Fortunately yes, Milkyway is the biggest cottage we have and it’s like a Family Suite. It can accommodate minimum 4 and max 6 person. If you want to book for more than you can book other cottages. They are in walking distance from each other.
5. Am I allowed to fly my drone while staying at the Lodges?
Yes it is allowed to fly a drone, as long as you stay in the nearby radius of 10meters of the cottage you are staying at (meaning not flying near the other cottages or up too high in the sky) and the times where it is possible to fly your drone are from 9AM until 9PM. The most important is to secure the privacy from the other guests and therefore we kindly ask you to respect the privacy of all other guests, too.
6. Are there curtains on the celing glass?
Shooting Star and Milkyway doesn’t have any curtains, whereas Moonshine I & II has curtains.
7. How do I get to the Cottages?
From Delhi :
You can book a Volvo to Aut and then take a Local bus or a taxi from Aut Bus Stand to Jibhi.
From Chandigarh or Chandigarh Airport :
You can book direct taxi from the airport to Jibhi or you can book Volvo till Aut which is coming from Delhi to Manali and then take a Local bus or a taxi from Aut Bus Stand to Jibhi.
Bhuntar Airport :
Direct taxi from the airport to Jibhi.
8. How far are the cottages from the road?
Our cottages are a bit off-road, so you need to walk a beautiful trail through the village to reach the cottages.
9. Where do I park my car/bike/Tempo traveller?
There is paid parking available at the roadside i.e. INR 200 per day.
10. Is there a Driver stay facility?
Driver rooms are available at INR 300 per bed at the roadside, Please book in advance as there are limited beds.
11. Do you organize pick-up and/or tours?
No, it’s accommodation only, we do not organize any tours nor provide pick-up.
12. How long is the drive from/to the Bhuntar airport?
52 km, 2 hrs.
13. How long is the drive from/to the Chandigarh airport?
276 km, 7-8 hrs.
14. How long is the drive from/to the Delhi?
500 km, 12-13 hrs.
15. Do I need a 4WD to drive there?
No 4WD is needed and the location is super easily accessible.
16. When can I see the Milkyway?
You can see the Milkyway through the year as we are the part of Milkyway but the core part (The root) is visible in Summer time when it’s dark outside (from around March to late October). Also you only see it if it’s cloudless, not raining and not snowing. Just don’t forget to look up in the sky frequently when it’s dark outside.
17. When can I see the Shooting Star?
If you can be patient staring into the sky for hours, your chances are high that you see some shooting star. You also need a bit of luck to see them and if you are lucky enough you can actually see 8-10 Shooting Stars in 30 Mins.
18. Which interesting places/sightseeing are in the surrounding area?
PS : Our cottages are bit off road, so you need to walk a small trail for 10-15 mins to reach from the road. Although we will help you with luggage but try and carry as light as possible. Avoid suitcases if you can.
